T-Rex - an early vegetarian

T-Rex - an early vegetarian

Date: 2007-07-10

I've often wondered how some turn into ex-veggies. It seems we should be asking that question of the earliest vegetarians - T-Rexes!

A new creationist museum is stating that everyone's favourite dinosaur had to be a veggie if they were to live with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden and get a lift on the Ark .

So, what was it that drove the mighty beast to give up its healthy and sustainable diet? Perhaps the meteorite never killed off the dinosaurs - it was their environmentally unsound diet - all that saturated fat and global warming!

If there are any T-Rexes out there I suggest you pop down to your local health store and try some Redwoods or Fry's veggie meat, or even some soya milk - you'll be surprised how much it has improve over the last few 100 million years.

Note to science writers: stop confusing vegetarian with herbivore!

Some Dinosaurs Went Vegetarian and Gave Up Meat - Why the Change?

Some dinosaurs went vegetarian and gave up meat, selecting a plant-based diet instead. What spurred the change?

Oldest tool-use claim challenged

The idea that human ancestors were using stone tools about 3.4 million years ago has been challenged by a Spanish-led team of researchers.

My legend avatar Boris and UK creationism

Boris looks terrifying but friendly - one of those sort of 'is really happy and nice most of the time but if you spill his pint he will eat you' types. But of course he wouldn't do that, because he's a friendly creation-dinosaur and was a vegetarian and lived with humans frolicking in the Garden of Eden and just chillin generally. Until Eve ate the apple, introduced sin into the world, and made animals start eacting each other.

Tiny dinosaur on verge of swearing off meat

A rare juvenile skull of a 190 million-year-old dinosaur may help explain when an important group of plant eaters branched off from carnivorous cousins, U.S. and British researchers said on Thursday.

Mad cows (and livid lambs)

The elephants had come in from the forest again. Then they saw one, a vast dark hulk looming out of the black towards their door. Their Dad tried to push it away. That's when the elephant carried him round the side of the house and killed him.

Revealed: the vegetarian Eden that was home to Adam, Eve and T Rex

"What do you think Adam was doing while T rex was considering lunch?" asked one sceptic in the audience.

"Read the book," said Ham patiently. In Genesis, God decreed that eating flesh was not allowed. So humans, T Rex and everything else in the Garden of Eden munched on foliage and fruit.

Vegan food evolved large brains?'

Man's ability to digest starchy foods like the potato may explain our success on the planet, genetic work suggests.
